Happy Birthday to Me and My 1st Card Towards My New Collection

Well today is my Birthday and kind of got an early Birthday gift in the mail from an ebay purchase that I forgot about.

The card I received was a 2014 Inception Auto Relic of Noah Syndergaard /50.

As you may remember from my last post that a new goal of mine is to get an auto of every player born in NJ.  Well I didn't have to look to far being I have a Todd Frazier auto that I pulled from 2013 Gypsy Queen.   He was born in Point Pleasant and now resides in Toms River NJ where he won the Little League World Series back in 1998. Well that area is where I will be heading to for a weeks vacation with my family. It'll be nice to be back at my old stomping grounds. One name down only 418 more to go.

I think I am going to pull the trigger and purchase a Trout auto before his prices sky rocket even more. I have been keeping an eye out on ebay and comc to see if I can get somewhat of a decent deal. I might as well go for an auto relic too being there's not much of a difference between them an just an auto.

New Collecting Goal

Well the Mets have been tanking lately after winning 8 of 10 before the break. Was hoping that they could at least make a little run in the east, but I guess not maybe next year. Card buying and busting has been slow so not too much to show off lately.

This past Sunday I got a text from fellow blogger Matt at Bob Walk The Plank asking if I was interested in heading out to watch the Pirates game.  Haven't seen him in awhile and figured be nice to get him an I out of each of our houses.  Well it was good to get out and just throw a few back and talk sports and cards.

I think I'm going to start a new collection goal of autos of MLB players born in New Jersey. I know it'll be tough to do being Trout and Jeter are pretty big stars from their and I'll end up paying a hefty sum, but a Jeter auto would be nice to have being we were born in the same town and hospital.  Just off my head I know of Frazier, Leiter, Porcello, and E Young and EY Jr .  Plus I'm pretty sure their are a ton more that I can't think if at the moment.

I'm still trying to complete the 2013 Triple Threads amethyst set and only need 18 or 19 more cards to complete the base set. Looks like I'll be checking out eBay, COMC, and some other sites to pick the remaing few cards.

Well here in a few days I'm headed back to my roots the Jersey Shore for vacation so I'll be sporadic with posting and no there will not be any fist pumping with this guy. At least this vacation I'll have cell service.

I'm Back and Trade Bait Updated

Just a quick post.

Well I went ahead an updated my TRADE BAIT with a Verlander relic, a Boone Phillies auto, and a McCarthy 13 Prizm auto.  The '13 McCarthy Auto is not showing put looks exactly like the '12 auto of him except for its a different picture.

Hopefully I will be frequenting the blog land more frequently except for another week of vacation I have that is coming up in 2 weeks.

The Mets are halfway to their goal of 90 wins and only sit 7 games out of 1st in the NL East.  Maybe they can channel some Tug McGraw "Ya Gotta Believe" magic from the '73 season where they ended up in the world series after being in last place midway through the year.

Well here is a recent pickup that I made of the Mets lone allstar rep this year.  Hard too believe that David Wright didn't make it, but I guess that's what happens when you have an injury so close to the break.

Ya Gotta Believe!!!!!

Lets Go Mets!!!!

I'm Still Here, Did you Miss ME???

Sorry guys and gals.

I've been busy the past few weeks with vacation, work and family stuff.  I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to post or read fellow blogs.  Hopefully, that will change in the future and vacation and travel plans wind down.

I had a quick chance to do quick post and figured might as well.  I am currently on vacation in Canaan Valley and will not be back home until Thursday or Friday.  I'm hoping then to post my hits from my Fathers Day boxes and a recent purchase I made on eBay.

Well the Mets have started to fizzle and go the wrong way, but congrats to Daniel Murphy on his 1st All Star game selection and the Mets lone representative.  David Wright belonged too, but and ill timed injury definitely put a damper on his chances.

Well LETS GO METS and hopefully I get back into posting more before too long
